Happy Samhain
October 29, 2014Fall Back
October 31, 2014Thanksgiving is four weeks from tomorrow! That means it's time to plan. You don't want to spend the week of Thanksgiving having panic attacks. NO ONE is thankful for panic attacks.
•As we discussed last week, clear space in your freezer and refrigerator. You're going to need it.
•De-clutter your house. Just 10 minutes every day between now and Thanksgiving is over 6.5 hours of cleaning time! If you are hosting overnight guests, take a good look at your guest room since that room tends to become a catch-all when not occupied.
•Purchase any serving ware or table linens you might need. Shopping now may mean you won't get the best sales, but you'll get the best selection. Remember, try to avoid holiday themed serving ware that will take up lots of space and have limited use.
•If you are hosting, schedule the big tasks: the "big" clean, grocery shopping, table-setting and decor, cooking. If at all humanly possible, avoid grocery shopping on November 22nd or 23rd. The stores will be a zoo.
•Finalize your Thanksgiving dinner menu.
• If you are traveling and you haven't bought your tickets yet, stop reading this blog and buy them now.
What tasks do you need to take care of this week?
