Rainy Days
September 16, 2010Fall Energy
September 21, 2010I often post about how we can accomplish a lot using small amounts of time. Small amounts of time used consistently can make a huge difference. Keep in mind that the Grand Canyon was formed by the flow of a relatively small amount of water. Yes, it took tens of thousands of years, but you aren't trying to dig an enormous gorge. You just want to organize your life more efficiently, lose a few pounds, etc.
So, I'm issuing a challenge. For the next 30 days, spend 15 minutes a day working on some activity on your to do list. (Alternatively, you can complete one task per day.) If you want to tackle a large project, divide it into smaller tasks that you can attack.
The first step is making a list of all the things you want to do. Keep it in a place where you can add to it easily. Each day, pick one task off the list, address it, and cross it off. Do not discount the pleasure of crossing things off the list! It feels good.
At the end of the 30 days (October 20th), look at far you've come. You may find that you want to make these 15 minutes a habit.
