Last week was the equinox, marking the beginning of spring in the northern hemisphere. A little over two weeks ago, daylight savings time resumed, meaning that we have light later in the evenings. The weather here in Washington, DC, isn’t sure it’s ready to commit to spring yet. We are on a warming trend (and Peak Cherry Blossom time is net Monday), but we still have cold nights and the wind is chilly — especially when it’s damp.
But I am ready for spring. Since I seem to be solar-powered, I have more energy when I get home and can walk the dog in daylight. My primary goal is no longer to hole up in the house wrapped in my cozy clothes, reading, watching television, or crafting. Instead, I’m running errands, getting ready for spring cleaning, and planning outdoor projects.
Do you feel more energized as spring begins? What will you do with that energy?
