The final step in preparing for the warmer months is preparing yourself. What do you want to accomplish this summer?
You’ll want to make sure that you’ve stocked up on sunscreen and that your summer clothes still fit.
As the days get longer – and hotter – you may need to revamp your exercise program so that you exercise in the morning or evening hours when it’s cooler. You might want to shift more of your exercise outdoors with swimming, runs, long walks, hikes, and bike rides.
Hopefully sometime this summer, small gatherings will be possible again. As the months go by, more of us will have to return to our offices after more than a year at home. It will be important to make sure that your schedule stays balanced – with time alone and time with friends, time for work and time for rest, time at home and time away. Developing a balance that works in the new normal will be a challenge, but it’s essential.
